The 31-year-old was reportedly charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm early Saturday morning in Ybor City near Tampa, Florida.

Police say Charles was attempting to park just before midnight when the off-duty police officers beat hm to the spot in their car. That is when police allege that Charles approached the driver’s side door and pulled a gun from under his shirt while threatening to shoot the officers. Police say the officers showed their badges to Charles, but he continued to threaten them before they drove away. Police said an off-duty Hillsborough County deputy monitored Charles from there until he was arrested.
Charles was an All-SEC pick in 2010 and 2011 for the Bulldogs.
