Jeffrey James Blanchard, a former Denver Public Schools security guard, has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child, the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.
Blanchard, who was employed by Denver Public Schools Campus Safety for three years, was working at John F. Kennedy High School at the time of the incident. More recently, he worked as a security guard at Hamilton Middle School, according to the news release.
An email sent to parents of students at McAuliffe International School Principal that was obtained by The Denver Post refers to Blanchard as a former DPS employee and said he also worked at McAuliffe in 2021 and 2022. District officials confirmed Blanchard “is no longer employed or affiliated with DPS,” but did not say when he stopped working at Denver schools.
Blanchard has also worked as a security guard at hospitals, including St. Anthony Hospital, according to the news release.
