Pitchers Lucas Giolito, Reynaldo Lopez and Matt Moore, eight days after being claimed on waivers by the Guards, return to play their old team.
“It’s kind of weird,” said Lopez. “We get claimed on waivers by Cleveland and a week later, we’re back in Anaheim. But it’s a good thing because I still have a lot of stuff there in my apartment.
Moore, like Lopez, has made two appearances so far with the Guardians. He pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings against the Rays in Saturday’s 7-6 win, but allowed a run on a homer by Christian Vazquez in Tuesday’s 8-3 loss. Giolito started the first game of the Guardians’ showdown series against the the first-place Twins on Monday.Lopez and Giolito are working on their third team this year. They opened the season with the White Sox and were traded to the Angels.
