The menacing charge is a misdemeanor, while the other two charges are felonies.“We are aware of the incident involving Traeshon Holden, and he has been dismissed from our team,” Lanning said.
A four-star prospect in the 2020 class, Holden is from Kissimmee, Florida but played high school football in Maryland and then California. He did not catch a pass as a freshman in 2020 before finishing his 2021 sophomore season with 21 catches for 239 yards and one touchdown. Over his three seasons, he appeared in 30 games.
Of the seven wide receivers Alabama signed in its 2020 and 2021 high school recruiting classes, only two remain with the team: Ja’Corey Brooks and Thaiu Jones-Bell. The other five have transferred: Holden to Oregon, Javon Baker to Central Florida, Christian Leary to Georgia Tech, JoJo Earle to TCU and Agiye Hall to Texas.
