CEBU CITY – A Chinese national was rescued from a house allegedly used by his compatriots as their hub for their online scam activities.
During the rescue operation, agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Cebu District Office also arrested Chinese national Dixon Zhang and Ian Naces, the Filipino driver of the suspects.
Panican said the victim had wanted to stop working in the online shopping firm that the suspects were running.Aside from forcing him to work, the victim was also tortured, said Panican.
