The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Chris Cook has played exceedingly well in all five games for the dominant Sequoits , who are ranked No. 8 in Class 5A in the poll by The Associated Press and sit atop the Northern Lake County Conference heading into a road game against Wauconda on Friday. He leads the team in tackles after breaking into the starting lineup early last season.
The team-first leader in Chris Cook comes through loud and clear when he credits the Sequoits’ scout team for giving him and the rest of the defense a better look during practices than they sometimes get from other teams’ offenses during games. Antioch has outscored opponents 257-72.
