The show will be jointly produced by Japanese public broadcast network TBS, FNC, and SBS Medianet, and it will air on both SBS MTV and SBS FiL in Korea and on TBS in Japan.
On November 24, SBS M revealed, “SBS M and TBS’s ‘The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle’ will premiere on December 6 at 9 p.m. [KST].” This audition program seeks to find band members who will captivate global audiences with both their talent and good looks. The band members will be personally picked by five teams of idol band producers: FTISLAND, CNBLUE, and
, as well as Japanese bands KANKAKU PIERO and KEYTALK. Additionally, FNC Entertainment’s CEO and executive producer Han Sung Ho and Sharam Q’s leader and guitarist Hatake will join the show as “special masters.”
