The flight had already been delayed for several hours.
UNDATED - A flight was eventually cancelled after an unknown passenger defecated on the floor Sunday.
Passengers aboard an EasyJet flight were forced to disembark after someone allegedly defecated on the floor of the airplane's bathroom. The flight, which started on a Spanish island with a destination for the London-area, had already been delayed by several hours. A passenger told CNN that cleaners came on board the plane to clean up the mess while passengers remained in their seats.
A video captured the captain later announcing that all passengers would need to leave the plane. EasyJet told CNN that the flight was delayed overnight due to the aircraft needing additional cleaning. The company confirmed that they provided hotel accommodations, and that it would reimburse people who booked their own.
A special flight was scheduled for the very next day to take them home. The airline said the safety and well-being of its customers and crew was its highest priority.
