The Colour Room is set in the 1920s.
Dynevor stars as Clarice Cliff, a working-class woman in the 1920s who bounces between jobs in different factories, constantly getting in trouble for not putting up with sexism and trying to push her creative ideas.
Eventually, her creativity and talent catch the eyes of Goode's factory owner, Colley Shorter. Teaming up with Morrisey's art designer Fred Ridgeway, Clarice fights to have her art recognised and for men to acknowledge that women can do whatever they put their minds to.The trailer – which you can watch above – features brief glimpses of all of that, while also giving us a glimpse at an accident at the factory.
Dynevor has signed on to executive produce and potentially star in Amazon Studios' adaptation of the novel, although that has led to concerns that she won't have time in her schedule to return for season 3 ofBut we're getting ahead of ourselves here, as season 2 hasn't even debuted yet. A first look at the second season shows the focus moving to Jonathan Bailey's older brother Anthony, as he meets a potential love interest who isn't afraid to state her opinion.
