LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: The provincial government will finally have its own tertiary educational institution starting in school year 2023-2024.
The Pangasinan Polytechnic College , which was created by an ordinance unanimously passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on Monday, June 26, will initially have its campus at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center here.'There are buildings there, and there are rooms that can be retrofitted and converted into classrooms,' said Vice Gov. Mark Ronald Lambino.'But the direction of our governor is to have two or three campuses.
'It's a Polytechnic College wherein skills development is one of the major foundations. What we want is for a student, after finishing one or two years, he or she is already ready to go to the outside world, so to speak, as a worker, as an employee. But at the same time, it will also give opportunity to those who want to finish a bachelor's degree,' Lambino said.'And because it's a ladderized system, every year you will gain credit from what you finished.
