Carter Hayes Sisti, who was welcomed into the world at 8:12 a.m. on Saturday, holds that title and first-ever New Year baby born at Penn State’s newly opened medical center. “I am excited to share that Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center, which opened on Oct. 1, 2021, welcomed its first-ever New Year’s baby today at 8:12 a.m.,” said spokeswoman Barbara Schindo.

Carter was 5 pounds, 15 ounces, and 20 inches long, and born to parents MaKayla Spraglin and Stephen Sisti, of Enola, Schindo said.Carter Hayes Sisti was the first-ever New Year baby born at the newly opened Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center.
