Another Filipina is set to grace the Miss Universe 2024 stage! Shereen Ahmed , a half-Filipina and half-Bahraini woman, has been crowned Miss Universe Bahrain 2024 and will be competing for the prestigious Miss Universe crown.On her Instagram, Shereen said she had previously joined Miss Universe Bahrain in 2022, but fell short in clinching the crown and placed 2nd runner-up.She continued her job as a TV presenter, and then she discovered the story of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee.
In a message sent to GMA News Online, Shereen said her mother is a Caviteña and her father is the one from the Middle Eastern country.The beauty queen also said she’s so excited and grateful for the support she’s been receiving from fellow Filipinos.“The support galing sa mga Pinoys has already warmed my heart - so talagang mas nakaka-excite,” she wrote with a heart and a crying emoji.Shereen is now the fourth Filipina vying for this year’s title.
