The FBI has seized the cellphone of the Nevada Republican Party chairman as part of an investigation into a fake elector scheme, according to a report Thursday.
Michael McDonald, the top official in the Nevada GOP, is being looked into as part of a wider investigation scrutinizing a plan to send illegitimate electors to cast the state's six electoral votes in the 2020 presidential election, according to a report from a CBS affiliate in Las Vegas.Authorities also issued a search warrant for party secretary James DeGraffenreid, the report added.
