Scott Nelson's act reportedly features him swallowing a rocket powered sword.
Scott Nelson is a pretty well-known sword swallower out in San Diego, and now he can say he is pretty well known in Washington, DC because that is where things kind of went off the rails for him.And things apparently went really bad for Nelson recently following a performance at Six Flags of America in Washington, DC.Nelson, who performs as “Murrugun the Mystic,” was hospitalized there after first responders were called to the park to pick him up.
Six Flags officials say that those folks were called, not due to an incident that actually took place in the show though, but for “unrelated health conditions.” According to a Go Fund Me set up for him, the 59-year-old Nelson said, “Five swords scissored out in my abdominal cavity. It also appears that I pierced the lobe of my liver.”The 59-year-old Nelson posted on his Facebook account that three doctors that worked on him told him they didn’t think he would make it. But he did, although it appears he has a long road ahead of him. It will probably be even longer before he can work again.
