Pope Francis says laws criminalizing LGBT people are a ‘sin’ and an injustice

Valmores noted that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has so far kept silent about LGBTQIA+ issues, among others. “We implore our senators and representatives to be champions of equality, justice and human rights,” she said. When the first version of the Sogiesc Equality bill was filed in 2000, she said the hope for their rights to be recognized flickered among LGBTQIA+ persons.
