Enrollment is now open for Fairbanks School District students for the 2022-2023 school year, including those entering Kindergarten.
Parents looking to enroll their prospective Kindergartners can do so from now until school starts in the fall.Because the transition into this cohort can be a stressful time for both students and parents, the district is offering a Kindergarten Round Up on May 2 and 3.
According to Chief School Administrator Karen Melin, “That’s an opportunity for families to come into the school and see the space, have kids come in and see what the school looks like, so it’s not a scary mystery... and maybe as much for the parents as the kids to see ‘this is what your school looks like, here’s the people at the front office here to help you do this,’ and kind of that easing into the reality of what school might look like.
