The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after 60 children and adults were left with minor injuries when a Delta Airlines plane dumped jet fuel over six Los Angeles schools before making an emergency landing at LA International Airport on Tuesday
Delta Flight 89, from LAX to Shanghai encountered engine issues shortly after takeoff and off, and made the emergency landing with 181 passengers onboard, Delta said in a statement.
Students at Park Avenue Elementary in southeastern Los Angeles County were playing outside when the plane passed overhead.
