The Extraction 2 teaser trailer has been released by Netflix showing the return of Chris Hemsworth's Tyler Rake.
is directed by Sam Hargrave from a screenplay written by returning scribe Joe Russo. Just like the 2020 film, it is also being produced bydirectors Anthony and Joe Russo through their AGBO banner along with Hemsworth. It will star Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani, Tornike Gogrichiani, Adam Bessa, Daniel Bernhardt, Tinatin Dalakishvili, and Olga Kurylenko.
The original film took place in an underworld of weapons dealers and traffickers and followed a young boy who becomes the pawn in a war between notorious drug lords. It was positively received, with critics praising its action sequences. During its first month of release, it was Netflix’s most-watched film as it garnered 90 million households.

At least 18 dead after tornadoes rake US Midwest, SouthStorms that spawned possibly dozens of tornadoes have killed at least 18 people in the South and Midwest, including at a heavy metal concert in Illinois where the theater's roof collapsed. Possibly dozens of tornadoes touched down into the night in at least seven states. The dead included seven in McNairy County, Tennessee, four in the small town of Wynne, Arkansas, and three in Sullivan, Indiana. Other deaths were reported in Alabama, Illinois, Mississippi and the Little Rock area. Tens of thousands lost power because of the sprawling storm system that also brought wildfires to the southern Plains and blizzard conditions to the Upper Midwest.
