The hottest days are expected to be on Thursday and Friday.SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — Hot weather is arriving early across Southern California this week as excessive heat builds across a good portion of the Southwestern U.S. Anhas been issued for San Diego County deserts with daytime highs ranging from 108 to 113 degrees each afternoon through Friday evening. are expected to be on Thursday and Friday.
In San Diego County, coastal clouds will persist as the marine layer rebuilds each morning and evening and continue to keep temperatures around normal. Clouds have extended to the valley floors this morning and will slowly pull back each morning/midday. Daytime highs will peak near to slightly above seasonal with low 70s at the coast and upper 70s to low 80s across the inland valleys.
The heat will be felt east of the valleys, especially toward mountain and desert microclimates. The San Diego County deserts will experience dangerously hot conditions with temperatures from 108 to 113 expected to begin Wednesday. The change comes following weeks of similar daily conditions. Now, a ridge of high pressure will strengthen over the region this week.
