Former New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez reportedly had half-a-million-dollars’ worth of electronics and jewelry stolen when his rental car was broken into Sunday night in San Francisco.
Rodriguez is now a baseball broadcaster for ESPN, and was part of the crew covering the Giants-Phillies game Sunday. The San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday that an SUV rented by ESPN for Rodriguez and other staff members was broken into while it was parked on the street about three blocks from the downtown ballpark between 9 and 11 p.m., while they were having dinner after the game. Sources told the Chronicle that Rodriguez lost a camera, a laptop, a bag and miscellaneous jewelry, worth about $500,000.

His legacy was tainted, though, by an admission of steroid use.
