PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has designated Undersecretary Hans Leo Cacdac as officer-in-charge of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), according to Malacañang.
This was confirmed by the Presidential Communications Office late Tuesday night.Cacdac's appointment came two weeks after DMW Maria Susana 'Toots' Ople passed away.Prior to being given the new role, Cacdac served as the agency's Undersecretary of Welfare and Foreign Employment.
He was also the former chief of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.Meanwhile, the President also approved new appointees to the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples and Department of Transportation .Jennifer Pia Las is the new chairman of the NCIP, replacing Allen Capuyan, while Jose Lim 4th was appointed as DoTr assistant secretary.
