Former NFL RB Peyton Hillis has been discharged from the hospital two weeks after he rescued members of his family following a swimming accident.
after rescuing his children from drowning off the coast of Pensacola and KNWA Fox 24 reporter Alyssa Orange also reported Hillis had also been in intensive care.
"You all were so calming, answered every question numerous times kindly… and heck, even took care of me and made sure I was okay every night: got me hot tea for my throat, made sure I was sleeping and eating, gave me a friend to confide in... I mean, I am just in AWE," Cole continued, in speaking about the hospital staff.
"You have all became a huge family to me and I know have meant so much to all of us. I can't express this enough when I say this, thank you for making all the difference in our lives. I'll never be able to thank you enough! And a huge thank you again for all of your prayers, love and support… God heard. And He answered ❤️🙏🏻"
Hillis ran for 2,832 yards and 26 touchdowns during his seven-year career in the NFL, which featured stints with the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants. During the 2010 season, Hillis experienced a breakout year with the Browns. He rushed for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns. He added 61 receptions for 477 yards and two scores.
