An ex-corrections officer has been convicted in a fatal shooting at a South Jersey doctor’s office, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said.
The shooting occurred on Midlantic Drive on the afternoon of July 24, 2020, officials said. Gomola visited the medical office after becoming upset about an appointment involving his father, authorities said. The employee, Stephanie Horton, 44, of Willingboro, was later pronounced dead at Cooper University Medical Center, officials said. The second victim was treated at the same medical office for non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
