Thomas Marino wants to again be the top prosecutor in Lycoming County.
WILLIAMSPORT – A former congressman and U.S. attorney is seeking the position in Lycoming County where he started his elective career.
They moved to Florida in October but he said they will be returning to Williamsport where they own property and their adopted children Chloe and Victor live. He won his third term as district attorney in 1999 but stepped down three years later when he was named U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Trump in 2017 nominated Marino to be director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. But Marinoand what he called false allegations about the Ensuring Patient Access and Effective Drug Enforcement Act of 2016 he authored. When Gardner decided to run for judge, people started calling him to see if he would seek the position, he said.
