GRAND CANYON VILLAGE, Ariz. — Ever wondered what a party for the stars might look like? Look no further, the Grand Canyon's got you covered:No, we're not talking about celebrities. We're talking about the shining stars in the sky. Grand Canyon National Park is hosting a weeklong party for attendees to enjoy a pristine view of the night sky.
Skies will be starry and dark until the moon rises the first night. The moon will rise progressively later throughout the week of the Star Party. After the evening programs on the South Rim, there will be telescope viewing in the large lot behind the Visitor Center. Park rangers will offer constellation tours at 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.At the North Rim, telescopes will be set up on the porch of the Grand Canyon Lodge each evening. The programming at the North Rim will be presented at 7:30 p.m.
