Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., on Friday called for a significant change to Senate rules whenever Democrats retake control of the upper chamber: eliminating the filibuster for legislation.
Ahead of her speech, Warren tweeted that the filibuster"has been used to block progress, and in recent years, obstruction in the Senate has only gotten worse. We’re fighting for big, structural change—but we won't get anything done unless we face this head on." , which they did in order to speed up confirmations. It's also one of perhaps few issues on which she and President Donald Trump seem to agree.
