Sen. Mark Villar on Tuesday raised concerns on the wellbeing of workers exposed to extreme heat conditions. Villar cited cases of heat-induced accidents and deaths of construction workers, law enforcement personnel, and other workers exposed for hours under the sun.

Villar cited cases of heat-induced accidents and deaths of construction workers, law enforcement personnel, and other workers exposed for hours under the sun. He stressed that it is “time for the government to act,” adding, “kailangan na po nating aksyunan ito at magkaroon ng preventive measures na mababawasan ang exposure sa init ng ating mga manggagawa ,” he said.
