Companion to his just-dropped LP features recordings of live performances in fans’ living rooms
Ed Sheeran performs during the Heart and Armor Foundation benefit concert at The Wiltern on September 19, 2023 in Los Angeles, California., on Friday, but he has one more audible treat for his fans: the singer-songwriter has dropped a live bonus album, as well.Sheeran’s latest live album is exactly what it says it is: recordings of him doing surprise performances of his newest songs in his fans’ homes. At 1 p.m. EST today, he will also share videos from these 14 intimate shows.
version will go to Save the Music. The live videos will be the only ones offered for this album cycle, as Sheeran has said he wanted to forego the usual big rollouts he’s used to. The star made these home visits while on the North American leg of his just-completed Mathematics Tour. That trek followed the release of his other 2023 album,sees Sheeran and Dessner expanding on their collaborative power together, as the two worked solely together on Sheeran’s latest, save for one track they made with Dessner’s brother Bryce. This album is also Sheeran’s first to be released on his own imprint, Gingerbread Man Records.
