Screen Rant presents an exclusive clip from Sunday's episode of the CBS series EastNewYork, in which Officer Bentley returns to work & Deputy Inspector Haywood checks on him:
Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from this week's episode of East New York. The CBS police procedural series follows a group of detectives and police officers who work in a particularly dangerous and crime-filled precinct in New York. The recently promoted deputy inspector Regina Haywood has her work cut out for her every week, but thankfully she has an incredible team behind her.
East New York, which was created by Mike Flynn and William Finkelstein, boasts a strong cast who shine alongside Warren. Jimmy Smits, who is no stranger to cop shows thanks to his work on NYPD Blue and LA Law, plays Haywood's mentor Chief John Suarez. Elizabeth Rodriguez plays Detective Crystal Morales, while Kevin Rankin takes on the role of Tommy Killian, whose approach to policing is rather old school. Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Richard King, Lavel Schley, and Olivia Luccardi also star.
While Bentley is gung-ho about getting back to business, other characters in East New York are feeling a little more cautious. In particular, Killian finds a connection to a string of robberies at marijuana dispensaries that could upend his personal life. Suarez also has an essential meeting with influential political policy advisor Allison Cha to take care of.
East New York is merely one of the stellar police shows that CBS has to offer. The network's FBI and NCIS franchises are still going strong with a classic approach to cop dramas, whereas The Equalizer takes a different tack, with Queen Latifah starring as ex-CIA operative Robin McCall with a mission to help those in need.
