After testing the waters in the first round of the regular season, Smart Omega Esports is now more confident and prepared to sail through the rough seas in the second round according to assistant coach Patrick “E2max” Caidic.
The former MSC champions had a roller-coaster start to the season where they only won two matches in their seven assignments in the first round.
“I think nakikita ko na yung team namin na papunta na sa gusto naming performance nila kasi usually talaga pag start talaga ng season nandun kami sa mga trials eh nandun kami sa mga testing the waters pa kami sa mga kalaban so kapag nakalaban na namin sila alm na namin yung next move,” said the player-turned-coach.
The team also showed more maturity and better cohesion after overcoming a huge Game 1 collapse that saw their opponents comeback and give them a dose of their own medicine.
