What do you get when you accuse Donald Trump of rape? Apparently, death threats:
“I put my reputation on the line, I put my livelihood on the line and I put my life on the line,” Carroll said on CNN Monday morning. “People have told me I have to be careful.”magazine, Carroll details a time when Trump allegedly sexually assaulted her in a New York City department store dressing room.
While she hasn’t read the reactions herself, loved ones have told Carroll that she has been receiving death threats and hateful comments ever since she went public with her allegations. Trump has emphatically denied the allegations, claiming to have never even met Carroll. However, that’s wrong, because the two were pictured together in a photograph from a party in 1987 thatDespite the death threats and denials, Carroll tells CNN she’ll continue the fight to tell her story.
“It’s the only way to change things,” she told CNN. “It is the only way. We have to hold him accountable.”Trump has denied the allegations, saying, “I have no idea who this woman is.”
