We’re excited about our students coming back,” Greene said. “It’s been a tough two and a half years. But we believe that this year, just like any other year, our school-based administrators, our teachers, support staff, from the district down to the classroom, we’re all ready.”

The Duval County school district told News4JAX that it had 389 classroom teacher vacancies and 64 instructional staff vacancies as of Aug. 1.
