Addressing the 214 – 165 males and 49 females – makes and graduates of PMA “Bagsik Diwa” Class of 2022 for the last time Sunday before his six-year term ends on June 30, Duterte said they would be among those who would fight the country’s problems including corruption, crimes, and illegal drugs.
“Corruption, red tape, and illegal drugs, and crime and criminalities are the wrongs that we need to correct,” he said. “Many people think that I grew up in a sheltered, privileged life. People do not see the other side of the coin, where I carry the burden of proving myself. That I can create my own identity through my own effort and determination,” she said in her valedictory address.
She used those realizations to fulfill her dreams that one day, “I, too, could bring honor to my father as the first child of a cavalier to graduate number one, not standing behind his shadow but following his life to a path of noble service”. She’s a recipient of the Presidential Saber, Philippine Navy Saber, Jusmag Saber, Australian Defense Best Overall Performance Award, Spanish Armed Forces Award, Agfo Award, Academic Group Award, Humanities Plaque, Management Plaque, Social Sciences Plaque, and Navy Professional Courses Plaque.
