The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said Monday, Dec. 26 that it has allotted P56.50 million in Quick Response Fund and P75.56 million as standby funds in field offices for those affected by flooding in Visayas and Mindanao.

According to the DSWD-Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and. Information Center estimated 15,487 families were affected in three regions by flooding from rains caused by the shear line. An estimated 15,487 families or 69,323 individuals from the 98 barangays were affected by the said weather disturbance.
The agency stated that it is in constant coordination with the DSWD Field Offices in the affected local government agencies for the said family food packs for the affected residents.
