PERSONNEL of the Bureau of Fire Protection respond to a call for assistance when a drunken man climbed up a bridge after robbing two lending collectors in Barangay Caliban, Murcia, Negros Occidental on Sunday, May 14.
Murcia police chief Police Major Joeil Reclamado said the two victims were riding a motorcycle when they were approached by Fernando Camporaso Jr. and allegedly threatened them with an improvised fishing bow before declaring a holdup.Reclamado said the suspect then left the stolen cash on the ground and climbed up the bridge for an unknown reason.
He undressed himself while law enforcers and rescuers negotiated with him to surrender. However, he refused. Reclamado said they waited for more than an hour for the suspect to go down from the bridge and arrested him.related stories
