A severe drought is affecting soil conditions in Russia and Ukraine, raising concerns about next year's wheat harvest. The dry spell poses challenges for farmers already struggling with the ongoing war and unfavorable weather patterns.

Ukrainian farm company HarvEast’s land has been too dry to sow winter crops and carry out essential work to prepare for planting, Chief Executive Officer Dmitry Skornyakov said.
