A 44-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning when his car crashed into a Perry County guard rail and went airborne, hitting a tree before it came to a rest, authorities said.
Keith A. Krieger, of Herndon, Northumberland County, was driving south on Route 11/15 in Watts Township when the crash happened around 7:30 a.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police. State police said Krieger’s Hyundai Elantra went off the road and hit a guard rail near the Route 322 west ramp. After the car went into the air and hit the tree, it came to a rest on its passenger side, according to state police.
Krieger was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. No other vehicles or people were involved in the crash.
