Former Senate President Franklin Drilon has urged Congress to carefully look at the P9.3 billion confidential and intelligence funds of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. | JMangaluzINQ
Drilon also said that this may set a precedent which might become a habit in the coming years.
According to Drilon, agencies like the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency already provide needed intelligence gathering, so only offices like them should get CIFs.
Ganyan ang ating experience in my 24 years in the Senate. Tungkulin ng Kongreso na i-examine ang budget at ilagay ito sa tama,” Drilon said of the CIFs.
