The soccer team and nonprofit organization are teaming up to raise money for area agencies.DOTHAN, Ala. - The Wiregrass United Way and Dothan United Soccer Club are partnering to raise money for area agencies.more exposure to area soccer fans that may not be aware of what the organization does.
During the upcoming clash for the Dragons against Athens FC on Saturday, July 6, Wiregrass United Way’s staff and volunteers will be at the gates at Rip Hewes Stadium holding donation buckets for people who would like to donate to the organization. People interested in going to the game can also get $1 off their ticket if they use the code “WUW2024″ on
, the official ticket website for DUSC. WUW will receive donations from a portion of the ticket sales.will be showcasing the organization in other ways. During warmups, players will be wearing ‘LIVE UNITED’ shirts. Those shirts the players will be wearing will also be given out at the game through a t-shirt cannon.until Monday, July 8 at midnight, where members of the public can bid to win away jerseys game worn by Dragons players. Those jerseys will also be signed by the player that wore them and the winning bidder will also receive 4 tickets to Dothan United’s regular season finale at home on Saturday, July 13 versus Southern Soccer Academy.
