Former NHL player Adam Johnson is dead after his neck was cut by a skate in an on-ice collision during a game in Sheffield, England. The accident has some asking if neck guards should be mandatory.
Staff Report Dothan High’s flag football season came to an end with a 14-7 loss to Auburn on Tuesday in the Class 6A-7A, Area 3-4 Tournament at Auburn.Dothan scored on its first possession of the game on a 4th-and-goal pass from Reecy Beacham to Josie Varner.
According to head coach Lee Merritt, the Wolves appeared to have a touchdown late in the third quarter when Irma Montiel returned an interception all the way from the 1-yard line to the end zone – 79 yards in all. However, officials negated the score because of an inadvertent whistle and Dothan took over at the 1-yard line.
