White fudge covered animal cookies sold at Target are being recalled because they might be contaminated with metal, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

is voluntarily recalling 44-ounce containers of Market Pantry White Fudge Animal Cookies because metal wire was found in some cookies.

The cookies are covered with white frosting and sprinkles and stored in a bear-shaped plastic jug. It has a “best-by date” of Feb. 21, 2023 and lot numbers Y052722. The affected products were shipped to Target retail locations across the U.S., but it is unknown how many products were affected. The FDA advises that people who purchased the affected product do not to consume it and return it to its place of purchase for a full refund.
