DOLE-6 released livelihood aid to selected beneficiaries from Western Visayas as part of the Labor Day commemoration. “This is for our marginalized workers such as the women, senior citizens, indigenous peoples, parents of child laborer, persons with disabilities , and drivers,” said DOLE-6 Director Sixto Rodriguez Jr.The province and city of Iloilo had P20.5 million for 3,314 workers; Antique, 6.5 million for 988 workers; Capiz, P4.1 million for 402 workers; Guimaras, P2.
The turnover of checks was held at the Labor Day job fair at Robinsons Place Iloilo here for Iloilo and Guimaras.
