“I looked like I had an exposed brain,” the 27-year-old Grammy winner added.“[They were] like, ‘Oh, this can’t possibly be her simply having fun. She has to be out of her mind. She has to be cuckoo,'” Doja recalled.
Despite the mixed reception — even the star’s own friends and family tried to talk her out of shaving off her locks, she added — Doja’s now fully on board with being bald.Doja loves her buzzcut, despite initial misgivings.“I felt beautiful when I had long hair. I definitely felt like a hot girl then, but I always do. There’s something so exhilarating about change; showed me a different side of myself. I feel so new, fresh and sexy.
