The Department of Justice has approved the filing of criminal charges against a delivery rider who allegedly threatened to kill presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

In a statement, the DOJ’s Office of Prosecutor General said the charges against Michael L. Go will be filed before the Quezon City regional trial court . The OPG said that Go will be charged with grave threat under Article 282 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Republic Act No. 10175, the Cybercrime Law. It said it will recommend bail of P72,000 for Go’s provisional release.

Go is detained at the Quezon City Police Department . The complaint against him was filed by Ken E. Romualdez and Bongbong Marcos.“Article 282 penalizes any person who shall threaten another with the infliction upon the person, honor, or property of the latter or of his family of any wrong amounting to a crime,” it said.The OPG said Go posted: “I was blocked by Marcos Jr in 2016. Paki sabi mag ingat siya sa Tandang Sora QC. Pag dumaan siya dun babarilin ko siya. Di ako takot makulong.
