The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday recorded 2,080 fresh COVID-19 cases, while the active tally dropped to 16,503.

Based on the DOH’s latest figures, the nationwide caseload is currently at 4,125,716, while the active tally went down to 16,503 fromMeanwhile, the country’s recovery tally rose to 4,042,747, while the death toll increased to 66,466 with 13 new fatalities.

The regions with the highest number of cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region with 10,006, followed by Calabarzon with 5,607, Central Luzon with 1,912, Western Visayas with 1,401, and Bicol Region with 900. The bed occupancy in the country, meanwhile, slightly increased to 21.5%, with 5,430 beds occupied and 19,884 vacant as of Thursday.— DVM, GMA Integrated News
