The budget prioritizes workforce development, digitalization efforts across agencies, and supports key institutions like the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the Bureau of Customs (BOC), and the Philippine Tax Academy (PTA).
The Department of Finance expressed gratitude to the House of Representatives’ Committee on Appropriations for approving its P33.75-billion budget for fiscal year 2025, which prioritizes digitalization to enhance tax administration efficiency and deliver better public services .
Suansing manifested his support to increase the budget for the Bureau of Internal Revenue , the Bureau of Customs , the Bureau of Local Government Finance and the Philippine Tax Academy . The DOF’s proposed budget for 2025 is 20.8-percent higher than the 2024 General Appropriations Act level, but represents only 0.5 percent of the government’s total proposed 2025 national budget of P6.352 trillion.
