THE Department of Migrant Workers said Thursday, January 2, 2025, that it is looking to provide the overseas Filipino worker accused of killing the child of her Kuwaiti employer with the best possible legal defense. In a television interview, Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said they have already deployed lawyers of the Philippine government to provide legal assistance to the Filipina domestic worker.
Earlier, reports came out that an OFW killed the child of her employer in Kuwait after placing the infant inside the washing machine. The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait also said it has received reports that the Filipino domestic worker was supposedly 'depressed' when the incident happened. He said the case of the OFW is already at the prosecution stage. 'This is a matter that has reached prosecution in the Kuwaiti courts,' said the DMW chief.
