Disney 'Interested' In Renewing TV Deal With NBA - RealGM Wiretap

Disney CEO Bob Chapek said that the company is interested in renewing its television deal with the NBA on Wednesday's earning call.

“We are interested in a renewal with the NBA,” said Chapek, although he added that “we will only do it if it is accretive to shareholder value.” The two sides are currently in a 10-year contract worth around $24 billion. The deal is set to expire after the 2024-25 season.Chapek added that Disney remain"bullish on sports."

“A continued relationship with the NBA would be something that is really attractive to us,” added Chapek.
