After it was revealed earlier today that Marvel's Netflix shows would be leaving the platform later this month, a new report says that Disney now fully owns the rights to the shows. The studio also plans to release them soon either on Disney+ or Hulu.

The rights of Marvel's Netflix shows are now owned by Disney and the House of Mouse is currently planning on releasing them soon on a different platform. Back in 2018, the streaming service started purging its Marvel TV series to the surprise of fans. The reason for the cancelation was initially unclear, with confusing reports as to whose decision it was to pull the plug on a relatively successful franchise.

Sources confirm to Deadline that Netflix’s license for Marvel’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher, Iron Fist and The Defenders team-up limited series is ending and the rights to the shows is reverting to Disney. The company is keeping mum about its distribution plans for the suite of series; they are expected to be announced the shows’ new streaming home soon.
