Anyone planning on tuning into Sister Wives or Deadliest Catch on Discovery+ should be prepared to dish out some extra cash. The streaming service is the latest to raise its prices.
Warner Bros. said in August that it lost 1.8 million streaming subscribers in its second quarter compared with the first. “We think the value per customer dollar of streaming should allow for strong pricing power from here, as long as increases are tactful and gradual , while we think a sizable portion of content spending can be cut without much of the audience noticing,” Prentiss said.
